Van Sales Rep (Snacks & Confectionery) – Fixed-Term

You'll cover a route of stores around Johannesburg CBD, selling in stock and fixing shelves as you go. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is Johannesburg CBD-based, with most of your time spent at a hardware and paint supplier. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Collect cash or EFT proof on van sales and bank daily.
• Send your manager a daily report with volumes against target.
• Open new accounts with taverns, spazas and independent retailers.
• Track competitor pricing and new products in your area.
• Log kilometres and fuel slips for the monthly claim.
• Pack shelves, rotate stock and remove damaged or expired lines.
• Handle returns and credit claims for damaged stock.

• Comfortable with a smartphone sales app and WhatsApp reporting
• Matric
• You can work to daily and monthly volume targets
• 1 to 3 years of FMCG, merchandising or route sales experience
• Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners

• Speaking two or more local languages
• Existing relationships with independent retailers

• Company vehicle or car allowance plus petrol card
• Cellphone and data allowance
• Branded uniform and safety boots
• Monthly commission on volume and new accounts
