Van Sales Rep (Snacks & Confectionery) – Permanent

This snack and confectionery wholesaler needs a rep in Somerset West who knows the shops, the owners and the numbers. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll be based at a snack and confectionery wholesaler in Somerset West. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Handle returns and credit claims for damaged stock.
• Run in-store tastings and demos on month-end weekends.
• Send your manager a daily report with volumes against target.
• Collect cash or EFT proof on van sales and bank daily.
• Visit 8 to 15 outlets a day on a planned call cycle.
• Track competitor pricing and new products in your area.

• Physically able to lift cases and pack shelves
• Matric
• You know the townships, suburbs and main roads of your area
• Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners
• 1 to 3 years of FMCG, merchandising or route sales experience
• A valid Code 08 (Code B) driver's licence, for rep roles

• Existing relationships with independent retailers
• A sales or marketing certificate

• Product samples and staff pricing
• Monthly commission on volume and new accounts
• Branded uniform and safety boots
