Job Description

An import and export trading house in Lephalale needs a tax practitioner who knows eFiling inside out. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is an import and export trading house on the Lephalale side of Limpopo.

What your day looks like

Draft objections and appeals with supporting schedules
Respond to SARS verification letters and upload documents on time
Track filing season deadlines and send reminders to clients
Advise on deductions such as retirement contributions and home office claims
Keep client tax files complete for five years
Prepare VAT201 returns and review input tax claims

You'll need

Comfortable handling tax season overtime
At least 2 years of SARS eFiling experience
Working knowledge of the Income Tax Act and VAT Act
Neat, careful and organised with client documents
Degree or diploma in accounting or tax
Registered tax practitioner with a recognised controlling body such as SAIT or SAIPA

Extra points for

Experience with trusts, estates and capital gains tax
Customs and excise knowledge for import-export clients
