Voice-Picking Warehouse Assistant

You'll keep a busy online grocery fulfilment hub in Bethlehem stocked, picked and moving out on time. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is in Bethlehem (Free State). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns

• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season

• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment
• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse

• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation

• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
