Voice-Picking Warehouse Assistant

Every order that leaves this frozen-food distribution centre in Sandton passes through your hands first. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll report in Sandton. Relocation is not covered for this one. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking

• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• South African ID or a valid work permit

• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner
• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
