Voice-Picking Warehouse Assistant

Every order that leaves this building-supplies depot in Upington passes through your hands first. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is in Upington (Northern Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule

• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)

• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate

• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
