Waiter / Waitress (Evening Shift) – Immediate Start

This is a floor job at a sports bar and grill in Midrand where your tips follow your service. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is Midrand-based, with most of your time spent at a sports bar and grill. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.
• Mix cocktails, pour draught and serve shooters to spec at the bar.
• Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
• Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.
• Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.

• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
• At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
• Neat grooming and a friendly manner under pressure
• Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts

• A second language such as isiZulu, isiXhosa or Afrikaans
• A barista course certificate or latte-art skills

• Late-shift lift home within a set radius
• Staff meal on every shift
• You keep your own tips, paid out daily or weekly

• Walk in with your CV between 2pm and 4pm when managers have time, not during lunch or dinner service.
• Put the names of the restaurants you worked at and your average covers per shift at the top of your CV.
