Waiter / Waitress (Evening Shift)

This is a floor job at a busy mall coffee shop in Randburg where your tips follow your service. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll be based at a busy mall coffee shop in Randburg. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.
• Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.
• Split bills, process card payments and handle tip-outs at the end of shift.
• Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.
• Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
• Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.

• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
• You speak clear English and can chat easily with guests
• At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
• Quick with basic maths and card machines

• Uniform supplied and laundered
• Paid menu and wine tastings so you can sell with confidence
• Late-shift lift home within a set radius

• Put the names of the restaurants you worked at and your average covers per shift at the top of your CV.
• Recruiters ask about a difficult table, so have one real story ready about how you turned it around.
