Wine Steward (Fine Dining)

You'll look after tables at a wine farm restaurant in Pretoria East, from the first greeting to the final bill. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll be based at a wine farm restaurant in Pretoria East. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.
• Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.
• Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
• Pull espresso shots and steam milk for flat whites and cappuccinos.
• Split bills, process card payments and handle tip-outs at the end of shift.
• Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.

• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
• At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
• Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays

• Responsible Service of Alcohol training
• A barista course certificate or latte-art skills
• Wine knowledge from a WSET Level 1 or wine farm stint

• Staff meal on every shift
• Late-shift lift home within a set radius
• Paid menu and wine tastings so you can sell with confidence
