Every order that leaves this frozen-food distribution centre in George passes through your hands first. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is George-based, with most of your time spent at a frozen-food distribution centre.

• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes

• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts

• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays

• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
