Warehouse General Hand (Day Shift) – Entry Level

Pick it right, pack it neat, send it out: that's the job at a pharmaceutical warehouse in Gqeberha. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Location: Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin

• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift

• Basic computer skills for capturing counts
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate

• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied

• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
