Warehouse General Hand (Day Shift)

Every order that leaves this clothing distribution centre in Mamelodi passes through your hands first. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is a clothing distribution centre on the Mamelodi side of Gauteng. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker

• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• You can read product codes and count accurately

• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied

• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
