Warehouse General Hand (Day Shift)

Pick it right, pack it neat, send it out: that's the job at a clothing distribution centre in Pretoria West. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is Pretoria West-based, with most of your time spent at a clothing distribution centre.

• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes

• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts

• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
