Warehouse General Hand (Day Shift) – Permanent

Pick it right, pack it neat, send it out: that's the job at a frozen-food distribution centre in Randburg. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Location: Randburg, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes

• South African ID or a valid work permit
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts

• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied

• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
