Warehouse General Hand (Day Shift) – Fixed-Term

Pick it right, pack it neat, send it out: that's the job at an online grocery fulfilment hub in Roodepoort. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll be based at an online grocery fulfilment hub in Roodepoort. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off

• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• You can read product codes and count accurately

• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied

• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
