Warehouse General Hand (Day Shift) – Fixed-Term

Every order that leaves this building-supplies depot in Sandton passes through your hands first. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Sandton-based, with most of your time spent at a building-supplies depot. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker

• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts

• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
