Warehouse Packer (Seasonal Peak)

You'll keep a busy spares and hardware warehouse in Brits stocked, picked and moving out on time. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a spares and hardware warehouse in Brits. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off

• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred

• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate
• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner

• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied

• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
