Night fill, weekends or month-end rush, a neighbourhood supermarket in Potchefstroom needs extra hands. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll be based at a neighbourhood supermarket in Potchefstroom. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Put up price tickets and promotion shelf strips
• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables
• Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
• Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle
• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
• Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves

• Grade 10 or matric
• Polite with customers and happy to help
• Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
• Neat appearance and punctual

• Chance to move into till or department roles
• Paid training in store procedures
• Travel allowance on merchandising routes

• If you have ever sold anything, even at a school tuck shop or a family stall, list it. It shows you are comfortable with customers.
• Hand your CV in at the store in person, early in the week, and ask for the store or receiving manager by name.
