Warehouse Packer (Seasonal Peak) – Immediate Start

Every order that leaves this spares and hardware warehouse in Durban Central passes through your hands first. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is Durban Central-based, with most of your time spent at a spares and hardware warehouse. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor

• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• South African ID or a valid work permit

• Basic computer skills for capturing counts
• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals

• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
