Warehouse Packer (Seasonal Peak) – Entry Level

This is steady, physical warehouse work at a clothing distribution centre in Pietermaritzburg, and nobody minds if it's your first job. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is in Pietermaritzburg (KwaZulu-Natal). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets

• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season

• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate
• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
