Warehouse Packer (Seasonal Peak)

Pick it right, pack it neat, send it out: that's the job at a pharmaceutical warehouse in Sandton. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is in Sandton (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off

• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves

• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season

• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
