Warehouse Packer (Seasonal Peak)

This is steady, physical warehouse work at a pharmaceutical warehouse in Stellenbosch, and nobody minds if it's your first job. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Location: Stellenbosch, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns

• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred

• Basic computer skills for capturing counts
• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment

• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation

• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
