Warehouse Packer (Seasonal Peak)

Every order that leaves this building-supplies depot in Vereeniging passes through your hands first. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a building-supplies depot in Vereeniging. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane

• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves

• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner
• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate

• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
