Warehouse Picker (Night Shift)

This is steady, physical warehouse work at a clothing distribution centre in Fourways, and nobody minds if it's your first job. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

The site is in Fourways; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns

• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred

• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner
• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse

• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals

• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
