Warranty Clerk (Dealership)

The workshop runs on good bookings and the right parts. This aftermarket spares shop in Upington needs you on that side. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is in Upington (Northern Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Submit warranty claims with photos and technician reports
• Open job cards and explain the work and cost before it starts
• Pick, pack and issue parts to technicians against job cards
• Phone customers with extra work found and get approval in writing
• Book in vehicles, walk around with the customer and note existing damage

• Computer literate with a dealer management system or parts software
• Matric, plus a motor industry background
• Accurate when capturing part numbers and prices
• Good working knowledge of car parts and basic vehicle systems
• At least 2 years as a service advisor, parts interpreter or in a similar counter role

• Paid brand training
• Monthly CSI bonus for customer ratings
• Commission on parts sales or workshop turnover

• For parts jobs, say how quickly you can find a part using the VIN. Some interviews include a quick lookup test.
• If your customer satisfaction scores were good, give the score. It is the number dealers watch most.
