Job Description

You'll look after tables at a busy mall coffee shop in Isando, from the first greeting to the final bill. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Home base is a busy mall coffee shop on the Isando side of Gauteng. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

The work, day to day

Pull espresso shots and steam milk for flat whites and cappuccinos.
Refuse service to anyone under 18 or visibly drunk, as the Liquor Act requires.
Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.
Explain specials, allergens and wine pairings in plain words.
Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.

You'll need

At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
You speak clear English and can chat easily with guests
You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
