Workshop Controller (Service Department)

You'll be the link between customers and the workshop at the multi-brand service centre in Secunda. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

The site is in Secunda; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Open job cards and explain the work and cost before it starts
• Invoice completed jobs and explain the invoice at collection
• Pick, pack and issue parts to technicians against job cards
• Phone customers with extra work found and get approval in writing
• Book in vehicles, walk around with the customer and note existing damage

• Code 08 licence
• Matric, plus a motor industry background
• Computer literate with a dealer management system or parts software
• Calm and polite with customers, even when they are upset
• Accurate when capturing part numbers and prices
• At least 2 years as a service advisor, parts interpreter or in a similar counter role

• Experience in a customer satisfaction survey-driven dealership
• Parts interpreter or service advisor course through merSETA
• Brand-specific warranty system training

• Monthly CSI bonus for customer ratings
