Yellow Machine Mechanic (Earthmoving Plant)

Keep trucks on the road and earning at the truck dealership workshop in Secunda. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll be based at a truck dealership workshop in Secunda. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Diagnose electronic engine faults with a heavy-duty diagnostic laptop
• Inspect tyres, fifth wheels and kingpins for wear and damage
• Fault-find AdBlue and aftertreatment systems on newer engines
• Carry out pre-roadworthy checks before the vehicle goes for COF testing
• Repair gearboxes, differentials and clutches on heavy vehicles
• Service trucks and trailers on the planned maintenance schedule
• Attend roadside breakdowns in the service truck

• At least 3 years on heavy commercial vehicles or plant
• Experience with electronic diagnostics on modern diesel engines
• Physically fit for work under trucks and on pits
• Willing to do standby and roadside call-outs

• Heavy-duty tools supplied by the workshop
• Standby and call-out allowance
