Access Control Officer (Grade C) – Entry Level

You'll control who comes in and out of a construction yard in Boksburg, and log every visitor properly. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll report in Boksburg. Relocation is not covered for this one. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)

• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Clean criminal record
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Speaks and writes basic English
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers

• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Firefighting or evacuation training

• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Stable long-term site contracts
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued

• List the types of sites you have guarded, like estate, mall or factory. Security companies place officers by site experience.
• Arrive for the interview in neat clothes with your certificates in a plastic sleeve. It shows the discipline they want.
