Access Control Officer (Grade C)

The gate at a construction yard in Fourways is the first line of safety, and you would be standing at it. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

The work is in Fourways, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors

• Speaks and writes basic English
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Physically fit for foot patrols

• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Firefighting or evacuation training
• Previous experience at a similar site type

• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Provident fund contributions
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
