Access Control Officer (Grade C) – Experienced

You'll control who comes in and out of a private school campus in Germiston, and log every visitor properly. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is in Germiston (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events

• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred

• Firefighting or evacuation training
• First-aid Level 1 certificate
• A Code 8 licence for vehicle patrols

• Stable long-term site contracts
• Provident fund contributions
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules

• List the types of sites you have guarded, like estate, mall or factory. Security companies place officers by site experience.
