Access Control Officer (Grade C)

Residents and staff at a private school campus in Middelburg (MP) need to feel safe when they arrive; that is your job. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Location: Middelburg (MP), Mpumalanga. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty

• Speaks and writes basic English
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends

• A Code 8 licence for vehicle patrols
• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Previous experience at a similar site type

• Stable long-term site contracts
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
