Access Control Officer (Grade C) – Experienced

You'll control who comes in and out of a private school campus in Midrand, and log every visitor properly. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The site is in Midrand; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events

• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Clean criminal record
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Speaks and writes basic English

• Firefighting or evacuation training
• Previous experience at a similar site type

• Stable long-term site contracts
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
