Access Control Officer (Grade C) – Permanent

Residents and staff at a construction yard in Pretoria East need to feel safe when they arrive; that is your job. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

The work is in Pretoria East, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it

• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Clean criminal record
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Physically fit for foot patrols

• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Stable long-term site contracts
