Access Control Officer (Grade C)

Steady 12-hour shifts at an industrial park in Rosslyn for PSIRA-registered officers. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

The site is in Rosslyn; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed

• Speaks and writes basic English
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Clean criminal record

• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
