Accounts Payable Administrator (Group Finance) – Fixed-Term

You'll keep the books clean and up to date for a construction contractor in Springs. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The work is in Springs, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

• Run petty cash and file slips with proper supporting documents
• Load supplier payments on internet banking for authorisation
• Send customer statements and phone accounts that are over 60 days
• Post month-end journals for accruals, prepayments and depreciation
• Capture supplier invoices and customer receipts on Sage or Xero

• At least 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping or clerk work
• Understanding of VAT input and output rules
• Matric with Accounting
• Practical skill in Sage Pastel, Sage Business Cloud or Xero
• Good with Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables and simple formulas
• Accurate with figures and careful with supplier bank details

• Knowledge of Sage Evolution or QuickBooks
• Experience with inventory costing in a trading business
• Experience with debt collection letters and handover to attorneys
