Adult Literacy Facilitator (AET Level 1-4)

You'll train adult learners at a private higher education college in Krugersdorp and get them through their qualification. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at a private higher education college in Krugersdorp. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Facilitate classroom and workplace sessions against the learning programme
• Assess portfolios of evidence and write clear feedback to learners
• Keep attendance registers and learner files ready for SETA verification
• Coach learners who are behind and plan re-assessments
• Run practical demonstrations in the workshop with safety briefings
• Sit in on workplace visits to confirm learners are doing real tasks

• Good report writing and record keeping
• Confident presenting to groups of 20 or more adults
• Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts
• Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Trade test certificate for artisan training posts
• Experience with QCTO occupational qualifications

• Paid re-registration with your SETA
• Travel allowance or company car for site training
• Holiday breaks between intakes at colleges
• Day-rate contracts with steady bookings
