Job Description

The residential aircon installer in Centurion needs an HVAC technician who knows both the electrical side and the refrigerant side. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

The site is in Centurion; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

What you'll actually do

Complete service reports on a tablet and have the site manager sign them
Service cold rooms, display fridges and freezers on planned maintenance routes
Recover refrigerant into cylinders and log every kilogram used
Install split units, cassettes and ducted systems, including brazing and vacuum work
Commission new systems and show the client how to use the controls
Diagnose faulty compressors, fans, contactors and control boards

Must-haves

Brazing, flaring and vacuum skills you can demonstrate
Code 08 driver's licence, since the job is mostly on the road
Refrigeration and air-conditioning trade test or an NQF 4 occupational certificate
Comfortable on roofs and ladders in summer heat
