Job Description

You'll install, service and repair refrigeration and aircon systems across Tzaneen. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is Tzaneen-based, with most of your time spent at a hospital building services team.

The work, day to day

Pressure test with nitrogen, pull a deep vacuum and charge with R410A, R32 or R134a
Complete service reports on a tablet and have the site manager sign them
Diagnose faulty compressors, fans, contactors and control boards
Check chiller log sheets and water treatment on building service visits
Respond to temperature alarms from cold rooms before stock is lost

You'll need

Understanding of single- and three-phase control circuits
Comfortable on roofs and ladders in summer heat
Refrigeration and air-conditioning trade test or an NQF 4 occupational certificate
At least 2 years servicing commercial or residential systems
