Job Description

When a panic button goes off in a suburban residential area in Boksburg, you are the one who arrives first. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Boksburg-based, with most of your time spent at a suburban residential area. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

The work, day to day

Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates

You'll need

Clean criminal record and no pending cases
Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
At least 2 years in guarding or response
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
