Job Description

You'll answer alarms across a suburban residential area in Kimberley in a marked vehicle, armed and ready. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is Kimberley-based, with most of your time spent at a suburban residential area. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

The work, day to day

Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses

You'll need

Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
Calm under pressure and physically fit
Clean criminal record and no pending cases
