Tracking Control Room Agent (Vehicle Recovery)

Night or day, a vehicle tracking control centre in Kathu never switches off, and neither does your focus on shift. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Home base is a vehicle tracking control centre on the Kathu side of Northern Cape.

• Log every event and action on the monitoring software
• Pull and save video footage for incident investigations
• Keep call-out times and client passwords up to date
• Talk down intruders over on-site speakers when the system allows
• Answer alarm signals and phone clients to verify them

• Able to stay focused through 12-hour day and night shifts
• Clear speaking voice on radio and phone
• Good memory for sites, streets and procedures
• PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher

• Call centre work in the past
• Experience on a CCTV or alarm monitoring platform

• Indoor, air-conditioned work environment
• Path to senior controller or supervisor
• Shift allowance for nights

• Show you can stay alert at night. If you have done night shift before without problems, say so.
• Some companies give a typing and map test. Practise finding streets on a map quickly before the interview.
