Job Description

Clients in a mixed-use neighbourhood in Johannesburg CBD pay for fast response, and this crew delivers it. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The site is in Johannesburg CBD; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What your day looks like

Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end

You'll need

SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
At least 2 years in guarding or response
Clean criminal record and no pending cases
Calm under pressure and physically fit

Nice if you have

Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
SAPS, SANDF or reservist background
First-aid Level 2 or 3
