Job Description

Step up from guarding into supervising on a guarding contract across several sites in Boksburg. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

You'll be based at a guarding contract across several sites in Boksburg. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

The work, day to day

Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
Meet the client weekly on security concerns
Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records

Must-haves

Available after hours for emergencies
Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
Matric, with a security management course a plus

Helpful, not essential

Handgun competency for armed supervisor posts
Labour relations or basic supervision course
