Job Description

When a panic button goes off in a farming district in Midrand, you are the one who arrives first. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is in Midrand (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

The work, day to day

Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses

What you need

Calm under pressure and physically fit
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
Clean criminal record and no pending cases
Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course

Nice if you have

Advanced driving course
Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
