Job Description

Clients in a farming district in Durban Central pay for fast response, and this crew delivers it. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Location: Durban Central, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

What you'll actually do

Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren

Must-haves

Clean criminal record and no pending cases
Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
At least 2 years in guarding or response
SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)

Nice if you have

Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
First-aid Level 2 or 3
