Step up from guarding into supervising on a hospital complex in Umhlanga. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

This post is Umhlanga-based, with most of your time spent at a hospital complex. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Meet the client weekly on security concerns
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
• Do surprise night visits to check posts
• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours

• Available after hours for emergencies
• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• Matric, with a security management course a plus

• Mining or hospital security experience
• Labour relations or basic supervision course
• Own reliable vehicle

• Management training for growth to operations manager
• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles
• Cellphone allowance

• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
• Mention how you handled absenteeism or roster gaps. It is the biggest daily headache for security companies.
