Job Description

You'll answer alarms across a suburban residential area in George in a marked vehicle, armed and ready. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is George-based, with most of your time spent at a suburban residential area.

The work, day to day

Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates

You'll need

Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
Calm under pressure and physically fit
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving

Extra points for

SAPS, SANDF or reservist background
First-aid Level 2 or 3
Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
