Armed Response Officer (Residential Patrols) – Fixed-Term

Serious work for a serious officer: armed response across a mixed-use neighbourhood in Klerksdorp. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Location: Klerksdorp, North West. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
• Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
• Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
• Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
• Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
• Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
• Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses

• PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
• Calm under pressure and physically fit
• SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts

• Response vehicle and firearm provided
• Regular refresher shooting practice
