Security Operations Supervisor (Retail Portfolio)

You'll run a shift of officers at a hospital complex in Rustenburg, keeping posts covered and standards high. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll be based at a hospital complex in Rustenburg. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Do surprise night visits to check posts
• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries

• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• Available after hours for emergencies
• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters

• Handgun competency for armed supervisor posts
• Own reliable vehicle
• Mining or hospital security experience

• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles
• Cellphone allowance
• Management training for growth to operations manager

• Mention how you handled absenteeism or roster gaps. It is the biggest daily headache for security companies.
• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
